MikesBarberShop.com was developed soon after the new owner of Mike's Barber Shop took over. He wanted a website that reflected the retro direction of the Morro Bay, CA shop, but also requested a modern flair. Top priorities included a store to sell products and merch, a page spotlighting the barbers, and a news section. Photography was also part of this project so the shop's unique flair could be conveyed. Some images are stock.

Fairfield, CA restaurant, Sakura Sushi, had recently opened its doors, and contacted me to create a basic, eye catching desktop and mobile website design that utilized the red color from their logo. They had their own web developer, so for me, this project was design work only. They had already purchased the domain SakuraFairfield.com and were ready to move forward immediately with the website. They provided photographs, and I created several different designs for desktop and mobile. They chose the design with the grey background. I indicated it will be a flex-slider hero image, and provided their web developer with a labeled multi-layer Illustrator file for slicing, with all images sized and linked and web fonts specified.

Modern Electric, an electrical services company based in San Luis Obispo County, approached me in need of website design, development and management. I researched domains that would best serve their company, ultimately purchasing ModernElectricSLO.com and SanLuisObispoCountyElectrician.com. Their main request was to display their logo large as the hero image.

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon is an award-winning program that challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive. Cal Poly was selected to compete in the 2015 competition, and one of the judged components of the competition is the creation of a website to communicate the team's message. I was selected to create the initial website, in order to explain the competition, introduce the team, post updates, and provide a page where donations could be accepted. Along with creating a visually appealing and user friendly exerience, the website is judged on compliance with the Solar Decathlon Minimum Website Coding and Accessibility Standards. I am posting a link to my contribution here as opposed to the live site, as I have now turned the website over to another developer and they will likely make changes.
